Accepted by God

“By faith we have been made acceptable to God. And now, because of our Lord Jesus Christ, we live at peace with God.” Romans 5:1

God accepts us and loves us unconditionally. At Christmas we remember that God sent His only Son into the world to save us, because He loves us! “I didn’t come to judge the world, but to save it” John 3:17

God doesn’t look at us disapprovingly, or with criticism or with judgement. He looks upon us with love. Too many people go through life feeling guilty, judged and criticised by God. We can go through life projecting that onto others too. What a difference we can make by looking on those around us with love. That is what Christmas is about; loving ourselves and loving others because God sent His Son into the world to save us.

God isn’t looking at you thinking, ‘what can I fix about him or her?’ He looks upon us with approval, as someone of great worth and value. He is smiling upon you. What a thought! The Bible tells you, “I am accepted in the beloved”. Do you feel the Father’s acceptance? Christmas time reminds us of our worth to God.

Many people don’t enjoy peace with God for a great many reasons, but this Christmas can be different for you! We access His peace through faith. Isn’t it time you accessed that peace through faith? Take hold of the promise and rejoice that God loves you unconditionally. He looks on you with love!

Be at peace. May the blessings of God be yours this Christmas!
